Onsite Storage FAQs
What is onsite storage and how does it work?
Onsite storage means we deliver a storage pod or container directly to your home, driveway or building site, and you keep it there for as long as you need. You pack at your own pace and access your items any time. When you are finished, we can collect it, or you can continue storing it on your property.
How is a storage pod different to a traditional container?
Our self storage units (or pods as we call them) are designed specifically for residential and light commercial use. They are made from breathable wood composite to help prevent condensation and damp, unlike metal containers which can sweat in changing temperatures. Pods are also lighter, more compact and better suited for driveways or smaller spaces.
Where can a pod be placed?
Pods can be placed on most driveways, private parking areas, gardens or building sites. All we need is flat ground and a height clearance of at least 2.3 metres. If you are unsure, send us a photo and we will be happy to advise.
How much space does an onsite pod need?
Each pod is roughly the size of a small car:

External size: 2.4 metres long by 1.5 metres wide by 2.2 metres high

Internal size: 2.32 metres by 1.46 metres by 2.0 metres
You will need a clear, level surface and around 3 metres of clearance for safe delivery and access.
Is the pod weatherproof?
Yes. Each pod is covered with a heavy duty, weather resistant cover when stored outside. They are also raised slightly off the ground to help protect against surface water, making them ideal for long or short term storage on your property.
Can I access my pod at any time?
Yes! If your pod is onsite, you can access it 24 hours a day. It is on your property, so you are free to load, unload or check your items whenever you like.
How long can I keep a pod onsite?
As long as you need. Whether it is for a weekend clear out or a six month renovation project, we offer completely flexible hire terms to suit your needs.
